FAMILY:   I am not married but partnered with Michael.  My mom side of the family has lived in the South Valley in township known as Pajarito for several generations.  My dad side of the family came from Monticello, New Mexico.  Currently my dad lives in Oklahoma.

My political experience is limited. I did some canvassing and volunteered my time in helping Congresswomen Michelle Lujan-Grisham get elected to her first term in office.  I am not a career politician, which I consider an asset in bringing new insight and leadership.  My government experience is, that I served 26 years in the U.S. Navy and I represented the United States in many countries and in different cultures.  I was unofficially an ambassador for the United States.

Serving my country in the U.S. Navy for 26 years and volunteering to go to Iraq and augment the forces during “Operation Iraqi Freedom.” I filled the job of Sergeant Major an (E-9) position for the Communications Directorate overseeing the daily operations and welfare of all CIS personnel enabling them to focus on there mission of supporting the war fighter.  My contributions played a crucial role in the building of a nation for the Iraqi people.  I joined the Blue Warrior Honor Guard an elite unit that provided colors for all military ceremonies and functions.  Being the most Senior Navy person on the team, I presented the flag for many of our fallen Navy heroes at their funeral to the next of kin.  Completing over 125 details.  I also volunteered and went to Vietnam to repatriate our fallen heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice and died in a foreign country to find any remains and to bring them back home so their family may have final closure.  I was stationed at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, during the Oklahoma City bombing.  I was honored by the Governor of Oklahoma for the fourth of July parade ending the mourning period for the Oklahoma City’s bombing by marching in the color guard leading the parade and finally raising the flag from half staff to full staff.

One major personal accomplishment, is truly the many friends I made through out my life.  Helping out family and friends when they needed me. I became a caregiver for my Uncle after he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer for four years until his passing.  I join the Ministry of Hope at the Church of the Ascension assisting families that have lost a love one.  For the family that decided to have a reception at the parish hall we help set everything up, warm up the food and placing it out when the services are done.  Completed the Honolulu Marathon 26.2 miles.  Completing jump school and earned my paratrooper wings.  Going to CNM and earning my Commercial Driver License(CDL). Volunteer for several of the cancer retreat they have twice a year in New Mexico.  Active member in my community and always volunteering to take on new challenges.  Ready now to fight for my community and to give a voice to the people of the Westside City District 3.
